Burdekin irrigators faced with ever-increasing electricity bills now have the opportunity to access relevant information and on-line tools to reduce their on-farm irrigation energy costs!
BBIFMAC was successful in obtaining Australian Government funding through the Department of Industry and Science as part of the Energy Efficiency Information Grants Program in 2013. The 'Energy Efficiency Gains for Australian Irrigators' project has finished however the project website and on-line tools developed as part of the project are still available for visitors to the website.
The online tools include the tariff calculator, fact sheets and case studies as well as videos and the online whole-of-farm benchmarking tool.
